Also nowadays the Choreography is different, the 2016 Broadway Revival reworked much of the Choreography, and the guy who did the Revival Choreography (which in my opinion is worse than the original in most respects), is the same as the guy who did the 2019 movie's choreography.

I'd argue that Cats the Musical does have plot elements that do combine to form a vague sort of plot, however the purpose isn't the plot. There is a sort of plot but you don't watch Cats for the plot, you watch Cats for the Music and Dancing (and the background interactions between characters), the plot serves as the vehicle for which the other elements of the show are presented to the viewers, but it isn't the actual point of the musical. The plot doesn't have to be particularly good or interesting, it just needs to give a reason for the singing and dancing. The 2019 movie had a bit of problem when they emphasized the plot so much. In the original Musical, the more nonsensical aspect of the plot is a bit obscured by the spectacle, which helps with the suspension of disbelief, but the movie by focusing the plot essentially shone a spotlight on those aspects.

I was in primary school the first time I listened to this. I'm now grown and working and still coming back to it. Whenever I hear the leitmotif in the Ghost Castle theme I think back to this immediately.
